Associate Medical Director for Infection Prevention

The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) in the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM), St. Louis, MO seeks applicants for a full-time faculty member to serve as the Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention for WUSM. WUSM is home to a nationally recognized clinical infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship program, healthcare epidemiology research program, and infectious diseases fellowship.The Washington University Infection Prevention Program provides expert guidance and care to the clinical operations of WUSM. The candidate will provide strategic leadership to support WUSM, managing and growing the infection prevention program in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The candidate will work in close conjunction with the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and a robust team of Healthcare Epidemiologists and Infection Preventionists.In addition to medical leadership for infection prevention and control activities, the candidate will also participate in teaching and research activities in the ID division, attend on the ID consult service, and provide other patient care activities as needed.
