The

Estimating Manager

will oversee the preparation and review of cost estimates for solar energy projects within the EPC sector. This role requires extensive knowledge of solar project management, cost estimating, and construction. The Estimating Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimation process for EPC solar energy projects, including the preparation of detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents related to solar installations to develop comprehensive estimates.Collaborate with the engineering and procurement teams to determine project scopes, schedules, and deliverables for solar projects.Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them within the estimation process.Review and validate estimates prepared by team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and labor rates specific to solar energy projects to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.Interface with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and clarify project requirements related to solar energy.Contribute to the development of cost models and estimation tools for solar projects.Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations to clients as needed.Monitor project progress and update estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or project conditions.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimating with a focus on solar energy projects within the EPC or renewable energy industry.Proven experience in managing large-scale solar energy projects, including installations and system integrations.Strong understanding of the principles of project management, cost control, and construction methods specific to solar energy.Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as Primavera, ProEst, or similar platforms.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work onsite in Malta, NY Monday-Friday and ability to travel to potential projects as needed to support estimating inputs.Unrestricted work authorization for the US and high written and verbal English proficiency.Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.Motivated initiative-taker, goal oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to empathize, build relationships and effectively communicate.Ability to navigate complexity, develop clear action plans and drive growth.Ability to work independently and part of a team.Highly collaborative.Compensation:

The likely compensation range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 plus a discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your qualifications and experience.Benefits:
