We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsThe PRN Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for leading and driving complex, impactful, continuous improvement initiatives across local, regional, and national healthcare providers. This role is crucial in identifying performance improvement opportunities, facilitating design sessions, and developing comprehensive process maps to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The director will develop and lead strategies that enhance operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and organizational performance. The Director will leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to implement leading practices and ensure that all initiatives align with the organization’s strategic goals.What you will do in this role includes:Lead the identification and assessment of performance improvement opportunities across various departments and diverse healthcare systems.Analyze current processes, workflows, and systems to determine inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for optimization.Utilize data-driven methodologies to prioritize improvement tactics that will have the greatest impact on organizational performance.Plan, organize, and facilitate design sessions with key stakeholders to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions.Guide teams through structured problem-solving processes, encouraging collaboration and creative thinking.Ensure that design sessions result in actionable plans with clear objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.Develop and maintain detailed process maps to document current workflows and identify areas for enhancement.Collaborate with department leaders to redesign processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.Implement continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize operations.Oversee the execution of performance improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Develop action plans for clients that will address identified gaps.Monitor progress and performance of improvement initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.Report regularly to senior leadership on the status and impact of ongoing projects.Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their engagement and buy-in throughout the improvement process.Develop and execute change management strategies to support the successful adoption of new processes and practices.Provide staff training and support to build a continuous improvement culture.Utilize data analytics to track performance metrics, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards communicating progress and outcomes to leadership.Lead client discussions and meetings to present analysis and facilitate client decision-making.Meet and build relationships with senior executives (CEO, COO, CMO, CNO, CFO, CIO, etc.) by presenting and discussing industry trends and best practices.Support organizational growth and maturation of service offerings.What qualifications you will need:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field required.Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in healthcare performance improvement, with a proven ability to lead and implement complex and significant process enhancements in clinical and operational settings.Relevant industry experience in healthcare, including familiarity with hospital operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.Previous experience in a consulting role, either internally or externally, is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale change management initiatives within healthcare organizations.Advanced experience in applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and other healthcare information systems is advantageous.Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSSMBB) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) with significant experience.Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.Certified Health Executive (CHE) preferred.Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) preferred.If you find this opportunity compelling, we encourage you to apply for our PRN Director Performance Improvement opening.
