Mitsubishi Chemical Gelest Division is seeking a
Commercial Director
to join a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable business results. The Commercial Director is responsible for leading our market-focused sales and customer service teams within the Gelest Business Group. The primary responsibility is to develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth in a specific market segment. In addition to leading a team of sales professionals, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with key clients and contributing to the company's overall sales and business development efforts. It is critical that you execute these strategies successfully, always keeping an eye on commercial excellence to achieve your financial targets. The Commercial Director will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to upper management, supporting the business unit’s strategic vision. The focus of this job is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and our strategic goals.

What You Will Do...
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to enhance market presence, drive revenue growth, and achieve financial targets.
Sales Management: Lead the market leads and sales teams to identify market opportunities, develop market and sales strategies, and execute market initiatives that align with business objectives.
Customer Focused: Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
Customer Service Excellence: Oversee the customer service function to ensure exceptional service standards.
Product Development and Launch: Coordinate with R&D and product management teams to drive the development and introduction of new products.
Team Development and Engagement: Lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
Financial Performance: Monitor and manage the financial performance of the commercial division.
Market Analysis: Conduct and collaborate to provide comprehensive market analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior management and other key stakeholders to align commercial strategies with overall business goals.
Ability to utilize analytics to assist in making data-driven business decisions.
What You Will Have...
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial roles within the chemical or related industries.
Proven track record of leading sales and market-facing teams to achieve business growth.
Strong understanding of the specialty chemical market and customer needs.
Ability to engage the commitment of others.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and drive business development.
Experience in product development and launch processes.
Availability for 40-50% travel, including international travel.
