Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead and develop our HR department. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices, a passion for serving people, and a commitment to fostering a positive company culture. This role is critical to our organization as it involves shaping the employee experience, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, labor, and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business goals and drive company growth.

Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, address employee concerns, and manage conflict resolution.

Performance Management: Design and manage performance appraisal systems, ensuring they are effective in driving employee development and organizational success.

Compensation and Benefits: Oversee benefits programs and compensation strategies to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.

Training and Development: Create and oversee the implementation of employee training programs to enhance skills, promote career growth, and support leadership development.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

HR Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures as needed.

HR Metrics and Reporting: Track HR metrics, analyze trends, and provide reports to senior management to support data-driven decision-making.

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS): Oversee advanced HRIS solutions to streamline HR operations, enhance data management, and support the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.

Broad understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development.

Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation of HR initiatives.

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Multi-market, union/non-union, and federal contract compliance experience preferred.

SHRM-SCP or SPHR a plus.
