What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and test equipment.
- Identify and recommend necessary improvements to equipment or processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including any tests or inspections.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly in relation to health and safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule repairs and maintenance to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and related areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Knowledge of programmable controls and other automation technology.
- Proficient in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Business Administration or facility management will be an advantage.
- Valid certification in a relevant field (e.g. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)) will be an advantage.
