Job Details

Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  1. Performing scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and service on equipment and systems to maintain optimal performance.
  2. Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairing industrial control circuits, motors, and PLCs.
  3. Maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and actuators.
  4. Respond to breakdowns and service calls, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment promptly.
  5. Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment, including electrical wiring and hydraulic, and plumbing.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of all services, repairs, and inspections performed.
  7. Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  8. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have the following:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance in the food/beverage industry .
  2. Proven experience in preventive maintenance, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical systems.
  3. A strong understanding of electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
  4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment, and hydraulic testing equipment.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults in complex machinery and equipment.
  6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively to respond to service calls promptly and complete tasks within deadlines.
  7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  8. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, with knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  9. A relevant trade qualification or an associate's degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
