Are you a dynamic and experienced tax professional with a strong background in corporate taxation? We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, working on complex tax matters and helping the company navigate the intricate world of tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will:

  1. Manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant laws.
  2. Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax positions and strategies.
  3. Provide tax advisory services to various departments within the company, helping to identify tax risks and opportunities.
  4. Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax audit processes.
  5. Stay updated with changing tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's tax policies and procedures are up-to-date.
  6. Assist with tax accounting and reporting, including preparation of tax provisions and disclosures.
  7. Utilize tax software and technologies for efficient and effective tax operations.
  8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to tax management.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.
  3. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  4. Experience with tax software, such as Go Systems, is preferred. Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
  5. An Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
  8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  9. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  10. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
