Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

We are seeking Structural, Mechanical and Plumbing Building Code Inspectors in the Fort Myers, FL area. Responsibilities include conducting building code inspections and plans review for residential and commercial buildings, managing related projects, and occasional travel. The role is primarily field-based with some office tasks.

Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in structural, mechanical, or plumbing. Additional licenses in electrical or residential are a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience with plan review and/or inspections.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building code inspections and/or plans review for residential and commercial properties.
  • Prepare detailed written and electronic reports; issue correction notices as needed.
  • Explain and interpret code regulations and quality control requirements to clients and the public.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve unique issues effectively.
  • Maintain strong customer service relationships; assist with business development as directed.
