Salary: $140,000 - $225,000 per year

A prestigious CPA firm in Boston is actively looking for a Tax Manager to lead our tax department, specializing in partnerships and high-net-worth individual (HNWI) clients. Work Schedule:

  • Expected to work increased hours during the tax season (January-April) with a peak in March and April. Outside of tax season, enjoy a 37.5-hour workweek with Flex Fridays off during the summer.
Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, particularly for partnerships and HNWIs.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to our clients, helping them navigate various tax implications with expert advice.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring high standards of practice and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with partners and other managers to integrate tax strategies with broader financial considerations for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and keep abreast of current tax practices and changes in the law.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax roles with a significant focus on partnership filings and HNWI clientele.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in tax software such as Profx Tax, CCH, Checkpoint, XCM, and Filecenter.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage client and team relationships.
