Job Details

Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our manufacturing engineering department and driving continuous improvements in our manufacturing processes. This role will require the use of advanced engineering techniques, as well as the ability to manage a team of engineers. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be a key player in ensuring that our manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing engineering department, including planning, organizing, and controlling the manufacturing functions to ensure the most effective return on assets.
  2. Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes to handle current production and to prepare for new product introductions.
  3. Collaborate with design engineering and production teams to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing strategies.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  5. Lead the team in identifying, managing, and executing projects that reduce manufacturing costs, improve processes, and eliminate waste.
  6. Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry and internal quality standards.
  7. Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development activities.
  8. Implement safety measures and practices for all work operations.
  9. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve them.
  10. Participate in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  3. Proficient in the use of CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
  4. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  5. Excellent leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
  6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term resolution.
  7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  9. A proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
