We are seeking a Revenue Accountant responsible for managing a variety of month-end close activities, accruals, and financial analyses. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Review preliminary month-end results and prepare accrual journal entries

Execute monthly close activities, including accruals and journal entries

Analyze actual results against estimates monthly and provide detailed explanations of trends

Conduct monthly analysis of Gathering, Processing, and Transportation costs

Prepare key metric analyses for management on a monthly basis

Identify trends and fluctuations in revenue prices and volumes; seek opportunities to develop new processes or controls for efficiency

Build and maintain strong relationships with Revenue Accounting, Marketing, Production Accounting, Reporting Team, and management to facilitate accurate accrual preparation and analysis

Reconcile key revenue-related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including quarter-end close activities and reconciliations

Develop and generate new reports to support revenue management meetings and data analysis as needed

Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience

Preferred 10+ years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting

Experience with Quorum accounting software is preferred but not required
