Job Details

Perform detailed, accurate plan take-offs, or site evaluations, for concrete construction, maintenance and restoration.

Analyze and review construction plans, addendums, and details for accurate plan takeoff. This seems redundant.

Review and present estimates to the sales manager, sales team, and clients.

Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand the project scope.

Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly, promptly, and efficiently and that client expectations are achieved throughout the duration of the pre-bid, bid, and construction process.

Oversee projects from start to finish by developing a master project schedule that is updated and communicated to all subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and superintendents.

Establish project subcontract requirements and review these requirements with the sales manager.

Ensure all subcontract work is within the project’s scope and specifications.

Continually monitor projects to assure company and regulatory procedures are followed.

Oversee change order pricing and justifications.

Ensure Change Orders are approved in writing prior to starting work and invoiced promptly upon completion.

Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and client/owner representatives to identify project issues and assist field superintendent in developing solutions.

Review field construction activity, engineering, and other field project support activities with field superintendent and provide support in ensuring projects remain on schedule and within the projected budget.

Prepare detailed site maps showing the location and scope of work to present to the customer in conjunction with the proposal.

Take photos of existing conditions during site evaluations.

Secondary Duties:

• Oversee the general collections process and ensure all monies are collected in a timely manner.

• Monitor a project’s purchasing activities to assure quality material and timely delivery at competitive costs.

Requirements and Skills:

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and employees effectively.

Must have a sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Must handle stressful situations and be resourceful when confronted with a problem.

A clean driving record is required.

Ability to prioritize and meet set deadlines.

Possess excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

Strong understanding of math with an analytical mind and geometry knowledge.

Experience in the construction trade is preferred.

Project Management experience preferred.

Trustworthy, accountable to self and others, and dependable.

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word in particular) preferred.

Basic knowledge of current ADA standards.
