Job Details:

Join our dynamic and forward-thinking financial team as a Senior Fund Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a fund accounting professional with experience in the finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex investment transactions, account reconciliation, and reporting investment positions. You will also be tasked with preparing financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of financial principles and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily accounting operations for private market funds, including tracking investment activities, reconciling cash flows and portfolio holdings, and computing net asset values (NAV).
  • Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of investor communications, K-1s, and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of assigned portfolios, providing accurate and timely information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for improving operational efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting, specifically in private equity or donor-advised.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy in all work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and systems.
