Job Details

The Senior Accountant will collaborate with accounting management for financial reporting, balance sheet and forecasting. Assist the accounts payable and receivable departments with payments, deposits, account reconciliations and general ledger. Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and prepare yearly audit schedules. Perform month-end closing tasks such as preparing journal entries & participate in special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, such as month end close, preparing all journal entries and financial reporting
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and deposits.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Process monthly sales tax returns
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits, working closely with auditors and providing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidations.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned (M&A work)
