Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Audit Manager with a CPA designation to join our reputable public accounting firm. This role will involve overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audit methodology, team leadership, and client service within the public accounting sector.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Review financial statements and audit workpapers, providing feedback and guidance to audit team members.

Develop and maintain effective client relationships, serving as a key point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.

Identify and communicate audit findings to clients, offering recommendations for improvements in internal controls and financial reporting processes.

Stay current on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting auditing practices, and ensure compliance with auditing standards (GAAS) and regulations (GAAP).

Supervise, mentor, and train audit staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.

Assist in business development efforts, including preparing proposals, participating in presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

Minimum of 6 years of progressive audit experience within a public accounting firm environment.

Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and procedures (GAAS, GAAP).

Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements and teams concurrently.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
