Responsibilities:
As an Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements in line with GAAP principles.
- Leading and mentoring a team of junior accountants and finance professionals.
- Working closely with the manufacturing department to understand cost drivers and implement cost control measures.
- Managing the general ledger and conducting monthly and yearly closings.
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Leveraging ERP systems, preferably SAP, to streamline and automate financial operations.
- Assisting in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Participating in special projects and implementing financial best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Profound knowledge of GAAP and experience with general ledger functions.
- Proven experience with ERP systems, with SAP being highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and mentoring teams.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
