Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining and managing all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  2. Performing account reconciliations and handling accounts payable and receivable.
  3. Managing the general ledger and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
  4. Preparing financial statements and reports for senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
  5. Assisting in tax preparation and filing activities.
  6. Processing payroll for our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  7. Collaborating with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.
  8. Providing excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving any financial discrepancies.
  9. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and current financial legislation.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or senior accounting role.
  3. Proven experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, financial accounting, tax preparation, and payroll processing.
  4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and public accounting procedures.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  9. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
