Job Details:

We are seeking a Permanent Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This role is a key player in our construction operations, contributing to the successful planning and execution of projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in preconstruction and estimation, with a proven track record of preparing accurate estimates and managing preconstruction activities. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. If you are a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and a passion for construction, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preconstruction process, ensuring that all aspects of the project are thoroughly planned and prepared for.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other costs.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Conduct risk analysis, identifying potential issues and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate contracts.
  • Track and monitor project costs, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
  • Provide regular updates to management, clients, and other stakeholders on project progress and costs.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, incorporating this knowledge into your work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction and estimation in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and other relevant technology.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Knowledge of LEED and other sustainable construction practices is a plus.
  • Professional certification in estimation or project management is preferred.
