Salary: $165,000 - $195,000 per year

Job Details:

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This engineer will focus on supporting the Flight Software organization. They will build the tooling, procedures, and systems that enable our software teams to deliver reliable and secure products with the speed and efficiency required to achieve our goal of launching the world’s first Artificial Gravity Space Station.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the development team to integrate their project changes and ensure the stability of the production environment.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline across multiple environments using tools like GitHub, ArgoCD, etc.
  • Utilize your experience with cloud technologies to manage and maintain our AWS infrastructure. This includes creating and managing resources using CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness using Python and C++.
  • Manage and orchestrate Kubernetes clusters for the deployment, scaling, and management of our applications.
  • Build and manage Docker containers for deployment into Kubernetes environments.
  • Use Bazel and CMake for building and testing software.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team for streamlining code deployment.
  • Analyze code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams to ensure a marked improvement in applications and the timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • Experience coding in C++, Python, Go, or Java
  • Experience building robust CI/CD pipelines with preference towards GitHub Actions and AWS
  • Familiarity with build systems such as CMake, Bazel, Buck, etc. with experience optimizing build configurations for efficiency and speed
  • System administrator / Linux skills and experience maintaining build servers and test assets both in the cloud and on-prem
  • Experience developing and managing solutions in the cloud using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes)
