Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation. You will be responsible for managing personnel, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
3. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
4. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
7. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
8. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
9. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
10. Manage the budget and estimate costs.
11. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local construction regulations are met.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in construction management or related field.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
5. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
6. Familiarity with construction management software.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent time and project management skills.
9. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
10. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
11. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
12. Attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship.
13. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
