Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage staff and senior accountants and oversee the daily operations of Financial Reporting within the accounting department.

Lead the reporting process ensuring all financial deadlines are met. Manage the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and assist in preparing the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for upper management.

Lead and support system implementations.

Direct, train, and oversee the technical and career development of Senior Accountants and Accountants to ensure operational excellence is continually met.

Implement, monitor and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.

Partner with Finance to provide financial analysis in support of forecasting and strategic initiatives.

Coordinate cross-functionally with other departments on business objectives.

Assist in hiring and ensure alignment with accounting talent strategies.

Prepare and review documentation to assist internal and external auditors. Participate in meetings and discussion with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely audit deliverables and auditor understanding of business and applicable policies and processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting (MBA or MSA preferred).

5+ years of relevant experience.

CPA license/CPA candidate is preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.

Some travel, evening and weekend work may be required.
