Additional Job Description/Details:RN needed for Oncology Unit 13 wk contract No local candidates within 50 miles.Schedule 730am-4pm13 weeksMin of 2 years of experience within specialty.Required BLS. Chemo Cert. ONS cert.Must Have oncology experience. Administers chemotherapy and blood products, monitors patients for associated side effects, initiates appropriate measures as indicated, and utilizes skills associated with vascular access devices. Provides care to patients receiving radiation therapy, taking into consideration source of radiation and length of exposure. Provides care to oncology patients following extensive surgery, which may or may not involve plastic reconstruction and grafting. Provides care to minimize or alleviate symptoms associated with cancer and cancer therapies. Provides emotional support and facilitates coping of patients and families living with cancer. Provides support to the dying patient and family. Prior to administering chemotherapy, attends a formal chemotherapy administration training course, a similar hospital-based chemotherapy training, or a department-based chemotherapy competency assessment.Candidates must live 50 miles or more from Lawrenceville Ga(Criteria based upon physical address listed on DL)***
