DescriptionAdvanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology Piedmont Heart Institute Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for a full time Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Advance Practice Provider Electrophysiology Clinics in the North corridor including locations predominantly in Jasper, Canton and Ellijay with occasional Blairsville clinic. This is a full-time Outpatient position, Monday Friday ONLY. No hospital coverage.This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nations leading cardiovascular healthcare systems working alongside a team of renowned Electrophysiologist in an autonomous environment where your skills and input are valued. We are seeking knowledgeable, highly motivated, and dedicated APPs who have a strong desire to work in an autonomous yet collaborative environment.Our APPs independently provide specialized care for patients pre and post electrophysiology procedures including but not limited to EP study, ablations (CTI, PVI, AVNRT, SVT, VT, etc), CIED implantation, LAAO implant, and provide recognition / management of diverse cardiac arrhythmias in routine and complex patient populations. As an Electrophysiology APP, you will also become competent in device interrogation and interpretation. This position will require decision-making skills, as ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently in clinic setting.ResponsibilitiesPerforms high-quality patient assessment and management, under indirect physician supervision, in accordance with federal and state regulations, practicing evidenced based medicineWilling to travel to clinic sites predominantly at Jasper, Canton and Ellijay locations with occasional clinics in BlairsvilleManage patient care by alternating clinic visits with respective electrophysiologist assigned to each clinicManages direct patient care autonomously on designated outpatient clinics and associated follow up with indirect Electrophysiologist supervision as neededOrders and schedules diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are deliveredWilling to participate in trials & undergo appropriate trainingManages patients in trials with respective electrophysiologistWorks 40hrs per week (choose either between four-10hrs days OR five 8hr days with administrative time built into schedule (will be provided MA support)?Willing to travel to PAH for trainingParticipates in training of APPs and nursesDemonstrates teamwork by communicating effectively and working cooperatively with all members of the health care team, including multiple electrophysiologists.Displays respect and fosters an appreciation towards all members of the PHI teamPiedmont OffersCompetitive compensation and benefits package 401k with impressive employer match program Well-designed training program Generous CME allowanceQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner programBoard Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse PractitionerHolds current license from the Georgia State Composite BoardBLS / ACLS certifiedMinimum 2 years of general cardiology or 1 year of prior EP experience
