Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment using principles of robotics, machine vision, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define production requirements, identify potential manufacturing challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, including process maps, equipment specs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee the installation, validation, and performance qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in manufacturing technology and scientific instrumentation, and propose their application where relevant.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment comply with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the scientific or high-tech industry.
  • Proven expertise in robotics, machine vision, and sensors.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as CAD and CAM systems, and programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing in the scientific industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest developments in the field.
