Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Complex Civil Litigation with a focus on Environmental Liability (Asbestos cases). The successful candidate will join our dynamic and growing legal team and will be instrumental in managing and resolving complex civil litigation cases related to environmental liabilities. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing expert legal counsel to our clients while making a significant impact on environmental protection.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a diverse range of complex civil litigation cases with a focus on environmental liability.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on environmental liability issues.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to prepare for trials.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in environmental laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex civil litigation with a focus on environmental liability.
• Admission to the State Bar.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex civil litigation cases and providing legal counsel on environmental laws and regulations.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to client confidentiality.
• Passion for environmental protection and sustainability.
