This is an ONSITE Role in Mason, OH when not traveling (20% travel required) - Relocation will be offered for a move as well

** MUST COME FROM A RETAIL CLIENT INDUSTRY BACKGROUND **

Direct all key account sales, in the US, Europe, and internationally, manage Director of Specialty Sales in the US, and oversee operations. Identify prospects and business opportunities to help grow the business across all divisions. Develop and own the annual Key Account forecast, and results to that. Manage all existing and new key account relationships, including regular communications and traveling to their offices and to shows to meet with them as needed to grow sales. Provide and manage to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, operating expense, and profit goals, and report on progress against those goals. Direct and communicate well with company key account operations support associates to ensure all key account sales processed and shipped correctly, seasonal orders secured in a timely manner. Coordinate work with Director of Specialty Sales to enlist independent sales rep and international distributor assistance when needed and appropriate to maximize sales and to ensure no duplication of contact.

Duties:

  • Manage all key account sales for all company brands. Develop and issue monthly reports tracking sales by account, against forecast and identifying opportunities for growth and applications for other accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing key account buyers, as well as assistant buyers and other contacts with key accounts
  • Regularly communicate and provide direction to company key account managers to ensure key accounts being serviced properly, including receipt and shipment of orders.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on existing and potential new key accounts, and develop strategic plan to prospect for new business based on sales activity, market trends and product development.
  • Participate in all trade shows and maximize benefit by meeting with existing and new key account buyers, while also assisting in the specialty sales effort.
  • Develop new trade show opportunities, as part of the strategic plan to solicit new business.
  • Develop contacts throughout industry to facilitate new business opportunities.
  • Develop new key accounts, including proactive lead development and responding to all new key account inquiries.
  • Manage all key account sales agreements & price lists. Review accounts annually and renew them accordingly.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies that align with our overall sales and marketing strategies.

Must be willing to travel 20% of the year to various accounts and trade shows to manage key account relationships and prospect for new business

Qualifications:

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree BA/BS in business, Marketing, Communications. or related degree with multiple years of prior sales experience in a creative, fast-paced environment, coupled with operations understanding and experience.
  • Excellent B2B selling skills
  • Experience In the gift or greeting card Industry OR Retail
  • Confidence in leading sales and operations teams, and in collaborating with Creative teams.
  • Fluency In reviewing and speaking to financial statements
  • Confidence in analyzing data, drawing insights, and developing reports and recaps.
  • Fun, creative, and insightful, and not afraid to share your opinion with the ability to receive and provide constructive feedback
