Job Details

The Billing Coordinator manages daily billing procedures, ensuring accurate cash applications and complex client billing. This role involves heavy interaction with attorneys and clients, requiring strong communication skills and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and edit client invoices in collaboration with attorneys and assistants.

Utilize accounting and billing software for data entry and compilation.

Pre-review draft bills for accuracy and non-billable entries.

Coordinate paper invoice transmittals.

Assist in payment application and resolve discrepancies.

Revise invoices as requested and reconcile billing inaccuracies.

Prepare Excel spreadsheets for client relations.

Maintain billing notes and client-specific information.

Support the Billing Manager with special projects.

Requirements:

Recent experience (within the last 3 years) at an AmLaw 100 firm or large professional services firm

High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and 3+ years of billing/eBilling experience in SAP, CMS/Aderant, or Elite, preferably in a large legal or professional services firm.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Outlook, and Adobe.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Organizational skills and ability to compile and analyze data.

Team player with the ability to work independently and make decisions.

Ability to work from November 15th through January 31st with minimal time off, and occasional overtime at month-end and year-end.
