Are you passionate about precision, quality, and have an eye for detail? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of our products, primarily in the aerospace industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a crucial part in maintaining our company's commitment to excellence.

1st shift hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

2nd shift hours: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting detailed inspections of products using a variety of tools including gauges, micrometers, calipers, and optical instruments.
  2. Applying your knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure products meet design specifications.
  3. Performing first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9100 standards.
  4. Utilizing PC-DMIS software for part programming and inspection.
  5. Collaborating with the production team to review and improve manufacturing processes for quality.
  6. Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
  7. Maintaining safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  8. Keeping measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the aerospace industry.
  2. Proficiency in using inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers, calipers, and optical instruments.
  3. In-depth knowledge of GD&T principles.
  4. Experience with first article inspections (FAI) and familiarity with AS9100 standards.
  5. Proficiency in using PC-DMIS software for part programming and inspection.
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
  9. A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
