We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Litigation Attorney specializing in Commercial Law to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes cases, providing legal advice to a diverse clientele. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in civil litigation and transactional law. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of commercial cases. The position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to client service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations related to commercial disputes.
  2. Draft and review various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other transactional documents.
  3. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on their legal rights, responsibilities, and obligations.
  4. Develop case strategies based on the law and evidence, and argue cases persuasively.
  5. Negotiate settlements in the best interest of the client, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations.
  6. Collaborate with a team of attorneys on complex litigation cases, contributing to case strategies and client communication.
  7. Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes and legal precedents that could affect our clients' cases.
  8. Provide regular updates to clients and senior attorneys about case progress and legal advice.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation and transactional law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  4. Proven track record of managing a full caseload, from case inception through resolution.
  5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents.
  6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  9. High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients, colleagues, and the court.
  10. Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and proactive approach to legal issues.
  11. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
