Salary: $100,000 - $165,000 per year

A bit about us:

Well-known, established, and stable aviation company, located in Lutz, Florida, in search of an experienced Software Engineer who is well-versed with flight simulation software. This is a direct-hire opportunity and you will work on cutting-edge prototypes for a brand new flight simulator project we are implementing. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, test, and documentation for software in a flight simulator model.

Job Details

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software for flight dynamics models
  • Create, maintain, conduct flight test data collection plans
  • Develop Qualification Test Guide tests and documentation to validate flight dynamics models
  • Participate in customer acceptance and regulatory qualification of flight simulator training devices
  • Perform hardware/software integration & testing on flight simulator training devices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience developing and integrating flight dynamic models
  • Experience creating Qualification Test Guides
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Understanding of longitudinal and lateral-directional flight dynamics
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, specifically propulsion, flight controls, and ground reaction forces
  • Experience integrating/testing aircraft OEM aerodynamic models preferred
  • Fixed-wing flight dynamics and flight simulation industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with C/C++, Python, Linux/Unix, and Shell scripting is a plus
  • Flight testing experience is a plus
