WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe’re seeking a Footwear Design Director with a passion for innovation and an eye for blending sport with fashion. You should be skilled at driving design vision and strategy while staying hands-on in product development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, navigates diverse personalities with ease, and can bring a partner's vision to life while staying true to our brand identity.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONIn this role, you’ll be responsible for shaping and driving design direction across the division, working closely with the Sr. Design Director and external partners. You'll lead the design team to execute product concepts that push boundaries and carve out new spaces for the brand. Your focus will be on championing product integrity, innovation, and performance as you oversee key initiatives from concept through execution. You’ll be deeply involved in developing design strategies and ensuring excellence through advanced concepts. Additionally, you’ll manage presentations and communicate design visions to a variety of audiences, ensuring that all projects meet our high standards and timelines. You’ll be a driving force behind bringing strategic innovation into the category, always looking to pioneer new spaces and drive forward-thinking design.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou’ll collaborate closely with the Sr. Design Director, apparel and graphics directors, and external partners to create a cohesive vision across all categories. Building strong partnerships within the design community and cross-functional teams will be central to your success. You'll foster a culture of collaboration, encouraging your team to explore new ideas and take calculated risks to generate unseen possibilities.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree in a design-related discipline or a combination of relevant education, experience and trainingMinimum 8 years' experience in a design-related role, including 2 years' in a management/leadership role preferredFootwear design experience preferredPassion for the fashion industry, the aesthetic and understanding of the landscape5 years' as a senior or lead designer in a corporate setting or design firm preferredExperience in international markets preferredDrawing, sketching 2D and 3D capability or ability to learnProficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Email and OutlookAbility to travel both domestically and internationally**To be considered for this role, please submit a design portfolio (attach a pdf file or include a website url on your resume/CV)NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
