In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building intuitive and powerful backend experiences that support the tooling needs of the Postman engineering organization. You will work closely with frontend engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to create solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our internal teams.Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:Design and implement solutions that are easily maintainable and scalable.Create high-quality, responsive APIs using modern backend technologies.Ensure the technical feasibility of API designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Collaboration and Communication:Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to define and implement innovative solutions.Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.Tooling and Integration:Develop tools and components that support the workflows of other engineering teams.Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver comprehensive backend solutions.Maintenance and Improvement:Continuously improve the backend codebase by refactoring and optimizing as needed.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.Qualifications
Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience:6+ years of experience in backend development,
preferably in a SaaS or cloud platform environment.Proven experience with Java, Spring, Microservices.Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Kubernetes.Experience with Helm and Argo is advantageous.Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.Our Values

If the role is based in the greater San Francisco area, the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $208,250 to $245,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend.
