JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Sourcing Specialist will develop, implement, and maintain assigned sourcing strategies that support and advance the company's Strategic Sourcing objectives and policies. Perform business analysis, evaluate market conditions, and negotiate agreements to support cost reduction initiatives. Coordinate Services and Materials sourcing initiatives for Seatrium LeTourneau USA and other sites as needed. Perform special projects as assigned.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Sourcing Specialist will develop, implement, and maintain assigned sourcing strategies that support and advance the company's Strategic Sourcing objectives and policies.Perform business analysis, evaluate market conditions, and negotiate agreements to support cost reduction initiatives.Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders yielding effective partnerships.Support strategic sourcing initiatives including development and execution of clearly defined sourcing events; document bid process through supplier communication; drive the selection of suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams; conduct supplier negotiations; and ongoing supplier managementDevelop negotiation strategies, gain alignment from stakeholders, lead cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implement appropriate supplier risk analysisCreate and defend sourcing strategies and decisions with sound analyticsCollaborate with key analytical support functions; synthesize resultsEffectively interact and communicate with manufacturing, project management and suppliers regarding commodity management activitiesEvaluate external markets for competitive sources of supply, conducting market research and using benchmarking data to qualify potential sourcesUse current spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects and develop overall cost reduction planPurchase Materials and Services in the assigned category portfolio, consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of needEffectively use SAP to create and maintain supplier agreements, pricing, or commodity analytics in a timely mannerPerform other tactical purchasing duties; including bid tab creation and analysis, maintain PO / Proposal logs, Contractor Logs and folders, vendor setup and invoicing issuesStreamline procurement processes through use of automated tools and functionalist in SAPStrategic Sourcing Process including working with leadership and Category Management to develop and implement sourcing strategiesDevelopment of Supplier AgreementsStrong analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills with a track record of proactive problem resolution within complex supply chainsDrive consolidation of spend and seek out synergies across Business Units where applicable, by forming and leading cross-functional strategic sourcing teams to develop and implement category/commodity strategies and to drive cost from individual spend sub-categories

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering with equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.5+ years of work experience in managing service and material categories related to the marine offshore IndustryProven project management experience in industrial services or sourcing activities, with emphasis in the following areas: Construction / Engineering Services.

Strong working knowledge in business analysis, market research, financial analysis, cost models, procurement/supply chain analysis, analytics (multi-dimensional analysis, master data management, predictive analysis, visualization)

Preferred Skills

•A high degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications; Advanced Microsoft Excel and database manipulation skills Strategic sourcing or supply chain management experience (contracts and vendor management, supplier evaluation, regulatory compliance, segmentation & taxonomy)

•Self-motivated with critical attention to details and deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
