As an electrical engineer on the Avionics team at Astranis, you will be responsible for designing the flight hardware that forms the backbone of our satellite's internal communication, power distribution, sensor aggregation, and flight computer systems. You'll take ownership of the full lifecycle for your hardware designs and work collaboratively with engineers across the organization to develop creative and innovative solutions that will push the envelope of satellite technology.Role

Design circuits and PCBs for various spacecraft subsystemsCharacterize, test, and validate hardware systems across the spacecraftWork within a multidisciplinary team to architecture, design, and execute for satellite avionicsAssist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing teamRequirements

B.S. or M.S. in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degreeA passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and developmentDemonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratchStrong analog/mixed-signal circuit design skillsExperience with debugging circuits with embedded software, from oscilloscope to firmwareBonus

Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and communication schemes (RS-485, SPI, Ethernet, I2C)Experience with C, C++, or PythonRadiation effects knowledgeEnvironmental test experienceWhat we offer:

The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.$110,000 - $140,000 USDU.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
