The Manager of Student Recruitment will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our campus recruitment efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the legal industry and a passion for identifying and nurturing future talent. The ideal candidate will have a background in law, proven experience in student recruitment, and a solid foundation in human resources practices.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Campus Recruitment Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive campus recruitment strategy aligned with the firm's goals, focusing on attracting diverse and high-caliber law students. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools, faculty, and student organizations to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation on campus. Recruitment Events: Plan and coordinate recruitment events, including informational sessions, on-campus interviews, and networking events to promote the firm and engage with students. Candidate Assessment: Oversee the evaluation and selection process of candidates, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment in alignment with the firm's values and diversity initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with the hiring partners and legal teams to understand their recruitment needs and tailor strategies accordingly. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and changes in student recruitment to continuously improve our programs. Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Training and Development: Mentor and train recruitment team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively represent the firm. Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with legal and ethical standards, as well as the firm's policies and procedures. Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience managing a student recruitment program within a law firm or legal environment. Proven track record of successfully implementing campus recruitment strategies. Strong understanding of the legal industry and law school dynamics. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in recruitment software and tools; experience with data analysis preferred. Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
