POSITION SUMMARY:This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated critical care trained pharmacist to join the Boston Medical Center team. This clinical pharmacist will provide coverage to the medical, surgical, cardiac, neurosciences adult ICUs, and the pediatric and neonatal ICU in a 7 ON/7 OFF decentralized overnight position. The pharmacist will additionally be trained in the emergency department to facilitate collaboration with their overnight pharmacist counterpart. The pharmacist will be responsible for working the overnight shift (9 pm - 7:30 am) for seven days in a row from Wednesday through the following Tuesday. The pharmacist will then have 7 days in a row off.This pharmacist will be part of a dedicated team of critical care pharmacists within a larger, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include code blue, stroke, and PERT response, provision of pharmacotherapy to adult and pediatric ICU patients, preparation of select IV products for immediate use, medication reconciliation, and participation in departmental quality improvement projects. This position will also be responsible for precepting an overnight APPE rotation which is offered to multiple local schools of pharmacy. Motivated pharmacists may also get involved in training six PGY1 residents, a PGY2 Critical Care resident, and/or an PGY2 Emergency Medicine resident.Position: Clinical Pharmacist II - Critical CareDepartment: Inpatient PharmacySchedule: Full Time, 40 Hours, 7/7 OvernightJOB REQUIREMENTSWork requires a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.Work requires licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Massachusetts by the hire date.Work requires PGY1 residency, PGY2 in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine or equivalent preferred.Work requires a level of proficiency with hospital pharmacy practice acquired with at least two years of hospital experience, and/or completion of an ASHP accredited residency in hospital pharmacy practice.Work requires substantial interpersonal skills towards our customers (particularly patients, physicians and nurses) and fellow employees of the hospital.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/Veterans
