Role: Progress DB Developer

-Proficiency in writing and maintaining Progress code.
-Ability to write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
-Knowledge of database admin tasks like schema management, indexing and performance tuning.
-Experience in integrating Progress applications with external systems using technologies like APIs, SOAP, ODBC/JDBC.
-Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues in Progress applications and databases.
-Willingness to learn new Progress technologies and adapt to changes in progress ecosystem.
-Working experience with OpenEdge 11.x and 12.x, OpenEdge App Server, PASOE.
-Database performance monitoring and optimization tuning.
-Experience with database security, encryption.
-Previous experience with migrating from one version of Progress DB to another.
-Experience analyzing business requirements, generate DB schema recommendations, create detailed technical designs.
-Performance tuning experience to reduce DB processing times.
-Substantial hours overlap to Central/Eastern US time zones.
