Your Opportunity
We have an opening for one Public Relations Manager (PRM) on our global PR team, working with our US West regional operations. This role requires someone with serious PR skills—a team player who thinks strategically, can see creative stories, provide counsel to leadership, and respond quickly to shifting priorities.
In this role, you’ll take on media relations, social media strategy, content marketing, issues/crisis management, and reputation management in partnership with Marketing & PR/Communications colleagues and leadership.
Some of the activities you’ll focus your energy on include:
Media Relations & Research:
Foster and grow relationships with Western United States media. Devise and execute creative outreach strategies aligned with business objectives.
Counsellor to Leadership:
Work closely with senior clients to align strategies with key goals. Spearhead corporate programs for social media fluency and crisis communications.
Mentorship:
Provide meaningful career opportunities for Public Relations Specialists and/or interns.
Brand Support – Copywriting & Editing:
Develop dynamic content and tailor existing content for external communications channels.
Social Media & Digital Strategy:
Advise on social media strategy and contribute to corporate channel content.
External New Business Positioning:
Work with Marketing Directors and key leaders to deliver integrated public relations and marketing plans.
Collaboration/Brainstorming:
Embrace a collaborative work environment and participate in team meetings to discuss initiatives.
Benchmarking & Campaign Evaluation:
Provide data-driven counsel and track campaign metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism, or marketing.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of public relations experience in corporate or agency preferred.
Demonstrated experience with professional writing, campaign planning, media relationships, social media strategy, and crisis communications.
Other Requirements
Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.
Excellent interviewing, written and verbal communication skills.
Strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
