Headquartered in Orange County, California, HHI has a global sales force and operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Asia.**Job Summary**The Buyer is responsible for import buying door hardware, doors, frames, and door components to meet customer requirements. Plan purchases based on the analysis of sales projections, historical sales records, and past buying trends, including price, and quality of merchandise. Assist with negotiating contractual agreements with vendors. Interact with sales personnel and other procurement staff.**Primary Duties & Responsibilities*** (60%) Monitor and analyze sales records, trends, economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed and stay within anticipated inventory turns.+ Publish various inventory valuation reports.+ Purchase at the most favorable price product consistent with specifications, quality, and quantity.+ Negotiate prices, payment and discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise with vendors.+ For imports, organize all paperwork from import partner to approve receipt of goods and appropriately cost inventory in ERP system.* (20%) Administrator of operating RX MRP/ERP software.* (10 %) Confer with sales and purchasing personnel to obtain information about customer needs and preferences.+ Address quality concerns with the supplier base for corrective action.* (5%) Perform weekly commodity inventory cycle counts.+ Identify product to be marked down, discontinued, and written-off* (5%) Participate in staff meetings with sales and marketing personnel to introduce new merchandise.* Additional duties/projects as required.**Education and Experience Profile**Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Management or four years of equivalent experience5-7 years previous procurement/import experience with a manufacturing facility**Required Skills*** Demonstrated interpersonal & customer centric orientation* Self-motivated* Excellent Presentation & Negotiating skills* Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and financial literacy* Computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office Suite* Sage/SAP experience preferred**Work Environment**Working conditions are normal for an office environment.#LI-AC#LI-Hybrid**Do Not Sell My Personal Information**** Manage Cookie Preferences**Always Active**33Across****host description**Location Based AdsConsent AllowedConsent PurposesLegitimate Interest PurposesPersonalizeFeaturesLocation Based Ads
