From your PASSION to ours The QC Checker provides support to plant operations in maintaining operational quality standards. Responsible for manufacturing safe, quality food, observing all Good Manufacturing Practices, and reporting off-standard or abnormal conditions. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Will perform required quality checks for string, fresh mozzarella, shred, sticks, and mozzarella departments. Checks such as metal detector checks, leaker checks, weight checks, analytical checks, and various other checks will be included to verify that the product conforms to the product specification. When a quality check result does not confirm to requirements, performs necessary rechecks to confirm non-conformance. Assist with initiating the hold procedure to control non-conforming product at time of packaging. Pull samples from the line per sampling plan for each area to submit for microbiology, chemistry, sensory, shelf life, and/or pathogen analysis. Complete screen sort checks as defined in sorting procedure and properly tag product needing additional action to bring to conformance. To notify the QA Clerk/supervisor/manager of major defects or patterns of defects in a timely manner. Document all quality checks accurately and in a timely manner including explanation of corrective action taken for any non-conforming quality checks. Perform additional tasks such as pulling air samples, hand swabs, and maintenance of our shelf-life library.
