Providing and modeling excellent, professional customer service and mentoring staff in this areaAssisting in overseeing deli operations which includes front of the house service, retail merchandising, and production cookingManaging the department in the absence of the Deli ManagerProviding direction, supervision, hands-on coaching, and mentorship to deli staffParticipating in production cooking, as neededParticipating in department planning with the Deli management team. This includes budgeting, product mix, and schedulingMentoring and training staff to ensure that department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are metGaining thorough knowledge of all Deli products and Deli servicesEnsures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer serviceExperience in retail operations including a background in and knowledge of prepared specialty foods and productsAt least 1 year of management experience requiredA high level of awareness of health and safety codes and the ability to implement systems to maintain complianceStrong production cooking, recipe development, and kitchen management experience requiredThe ability to demonstrate organizational and planning skillsComputer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office programsThe ability to multitask on an ongoing basisExcellent leadership, teambuilding, and communication skillsDemonstrated creative thinking and problem solving skillsFlexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekendsMust be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 1040lbs regularlyA current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is requiredIf hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC)If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)Must be at least 18 years of ageBenefits and Perks:Additional $1.25/hour Night Differential when applicable.Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Parental LeaveVacation Accrual 0.06 hours per hour worked during the first 2080 hours of employmentSick Accrual
