We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Director to join our team on a flexible contract basis, providing expert guidance and ensuring the highest standards of care.

Position Overview:

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced clinician seeking flexibility and autonomy. The Clinical Director will be compensated with a competitive monthly retainer of $1,500, providing expert oversight and advisement. This role includes flexibility in work hours and the option to engage in additional clinical work if desired. You will play a crucial role in overseeing agency programs, reviewing therapist notes, assessing clients for clinical reviews, and ensuring compliance with best practices. The Clinical Director will also be available for monthly supervision meetings, emergency consultations, and the approval and assignment of new clients to therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisory Role:

Provide expert guidance and oversight for agency programs, ensuring alignment with clinical best practices and compliance with state regulations.

Clinical Reviews:

Assess client cases for clinical review, offering insights on treatment plans and interventions.

Therapist Oversight:

Review therapist notes and documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to clinical standards.

Monthly Supervision Meetings:

Lead monthly supervision meetings and training sessions with therapists to discuss cases, provide clinical guidance, and foster professional development.

Policy and Best Practices:

Advise on the development and implementation of agency policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Client Management:

Be available for emergency calls, approve and assign new clients to therapists, and assess therapists’ abilities, skills, and training needs.

Licensure Use:

Utilize your professional licensure to facilitate contracts with insurance companies, state payors, and programs, ensuring the agency meets all credentialing requirements.

Lead Therapist Role:

Act as the lead therapist, providing mentorship and clinical direction to the therapy team and supporting the agency’s therapeutic mission.

Optional Clinical Work:

If desired, provide outpatient therapy at a rate of $55 per session and conduct CCA/Assessments at $60 per assessment.

In-Person Meetings:

Be available for in-person meetings with the agency director as requested, to discuss strategic initiatives, program updates, and other critical matters.

Clinical Supervision:

Provide clinical supervision as needed for agency employees.

Qualifications:

Must hold one of the following North Carolina licenses:

American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-certified or eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO)

NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker

NC Licensed Psychologist

NC Licensed Psychological Associate

NC Licensed Professional Counselor

NC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

NC Licensed Nurse Practitioner

NC Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist

NC Certified Clinical Supervisor

Minimum of two years of full-time, post-graduate direct service experience, including face-to-face treatment and interventions for clients with mental health or substance abuse diagnoses.

Proven experience in clinical oversight, program management, and policy advisement within a behavioral health setting.

Strong understanding of clinical coverage policies and best practices for mental health and substance abuse services.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position with flexible working hours.

Monthly supervision meetings and training sessions with therapists are required and may be conducted virtually.

Available for emergency consultations and client management tasks, with the flexibility to balance these responsibilities as needed.
