Quality Control Manager

to lead our team of quality professionals. In this role, you will help develop and apply quality procedures as required to incorporate special tests, audits or to improve total manufacturing and repair processes by supporting our team in providing the highest level of product satisfaction to our expanding customer base.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager ensures the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system as related to the regulatory and certification requirements of the organization. The QC Manager is also responsible for the management of internal and external audits, improvement of quality performance metrics through continuous improvement initiative, activities, and events. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all quality operations, either directly or through subordinates, for the purpose of establishing and meeting goals for production, quality, cost, and safety objectives

Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and maintaining Company quality management system; including administration of manuals, procedures, work instructions and related quality system documentation

Establishes appropriate inspection oversight for in-process inspections and final inspections, including sampling procedures

Interacts regularly with Sales, Engineering, and Production departments to establish quality standards and reporting requirements for raw materials, work in progress, outside processing, finished products, and warranty returns

Develops and maintains personnel requirements for Quality department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems

Supports outside audits performed by customers and regulatory bodies to industry standards

Conducts daily activities with a strong leadership presence and high sense of responsibility and ownership equal to or exceeding standards

Builds a strong team across department boundaries

Develops team members understanding of Quality Policies and Procedures

Conducts effective training on procedure and policy changes and identifies areas of improvement

Communicates effectively with all levels of the Company

Conducts themselves in a business-like and civil manner with vendors, customers, management, and colleagues

Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent resident (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirement)

Skills and Requirements:

Thorough understanding of ISO 9001: 2015 Certification

Experienced in developing and implementing internal audit processes and procedures

Ability to motivate and direct subordinates

Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English (Bilingual a plus)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications

Superior knowledge of statistical tools and techniques of Quality Management Systems and all Quality Assurance operations

Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills

Advanced computer skills specifically in Excel and SharePoint

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer as necessary

Ability to stand for prolonged periods as necessary

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Work Environment:

The work performed is in a warehouse and office environment

The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels

Education:

Associates or Bachelor's (Preferred) or equivalent experience

Experience:

Quality control: 5 years Required

Supervising: 2 years Required (Preferred -Textile Manufacturing)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
