Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesInventory replenishment and inventory management, which includes turns, dead stock, fill rates, forecasting, cycle counts and reconciliation coordination with the business unit Controller.Participate and lead in coordination and execution of product replenishment synergies between locations.Issue requests for quotation, analyze and evaluate quotes, negotiate price and terms, and exercise independent judgment to select suppliers based on lowest total cost of ownership.Execute and support the procure-to-pay process for MRO, equipment, services, raw materials, and supplies from external suppliersCollaborate with internal customers to understand requisition requirements (e.g., specifications, scope of work, performance, and timing requirements)Work with internal customers to identify and address unmet needs that align with procurement and business unit goals to deliver long term valueManage appropriate use of national, regional, and local contract agreementsIdentify and analyze opportunities to competitively bid non-strategic spend to achieve the lowest total cost of ownershipMaintain an inventory strategy that supports the business unit's operational reliability goals, including correct min/max inventory levels being based on availability and lead time, with having critical spare items identified and on site.Demonstrate high level of customer focus and sense of urgency.Use strong verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and provide status updates to customers and suppliers (e.g., commitment dates)Consistently demonstrating leadership skills as well as positive influence and accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people developmentUtilize computer-based programs to facilitate operational requests, inventory management, and inventory/spend reporting.Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of ten years' experience in purchasing and inventory management roles at a wood products manufacturing facilityKnowledge of purchasing process and procedures and key commercial terms such as freight payables, incoterms, and delivery termsExcellent computer and analytical abilities, with proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Microsoft Word (document creation), Excel (spreadsheets), and Outlook (email and calendar)Experience in using an ERP software such as SAP, is preferredExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.Strong planning and organizational skillsStrong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skillsAbility to learn new skills with attention to detail.Lift and/or pull 50lbs.Willingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoorsAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneelAbility to work independently or as part of a team.Adapts to and thrives in constant change.Adhere to all OSHA and Company safety practices and procedures.Uphold Company's Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion, Ownership and Excellence at all times.
