Position - PostgreSQL DBA

Location - Franklin , TN (Day 1 onsite)

Duration - Contract Position

PostgreSQL•Experience in RDS PostgreSQL, Aurora, EDB or community version.•Experience in migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.•Knowledge on migration tools like SCT, DMS etc.•Good to have knowledge on Streaming/XDB Replication.•Responsible for backups, testing and regular database maintenance.•Strong knowledge in Oracle Database administration including oracle cloud based

databases•Good knowledge and understanding of supporting Oracle DB production instances in a 24 x 7 days' environment including process management•Database Maintenance work like patching & upgradation, RAC, Data Guard ,ASM disks•Proficient Experience performing installation, upgrade and maintenance DB2 LUW databases in production environments.•Experience in HADR and TSA.•Strong verbal and written communication skills.•Skills for developing, deploying & debugging cloud applications.

Oracle:

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing Oracle Database Administration.Install and maintain database servers.Setup and maintain database standards.Performance tuning of database systems.Knowledge about query optimization, Locking and index tuning.Cross platform migration.Knowledge on Database upgrade Activity.Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.Develop processes for optimizing database security.experience in handling export and import activities.Monitor and verify backups and perform ad-hoc backups for Oracle databases.Knowledge on Database patching activity.Create automation for repeating database tasks.Be available for on-call support as needed.Ability to work under pressure and a commitment to solving issues.
