Georgia Pacific is immediately hiring for a
Logistics Specialist
to join our Dixie® team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This role requires strong skills in logistics, inventory management, technical support, process improvement, safety, and long-term asset care. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on delivering proactive and responsive solutions to business needs. Key responsibilities include safely enhancing productivity and reducing costs through process and equipment optimization, as well as improving operational knowledge and skills. Additionally, the candidate will serve as the primary escalation point and support for the on-shift team, which may require additional flexibility and availability.

What You Will Do
Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) cultureResponsible for prioritizing, and manage notifications, ensuring the work adds value, and is aligned with the department goalsAligning resources to a common priority; assurance that assigned resources are effective and required resources are urgently requested and obtainedThey will work with site team members in capturing strategic value opportunitiesEffectively applying the challenge process; urgent removal and escalation of issues that are prohibiting delivery of initiative results.Effectively support on-shift Logistics team through shift directionResearch ways to increase inventory accuracyCommunicate with hourly team members with errors found and assist in helping them understand the process and how the error effects the inventory accuracyParticipate in the monthly Crew MeetingsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience working within a manufacturing, warehousing, or inventory managementExperience performing cycle counts and auditing inventoryExperience working with or using a logistical or inventory databaseWhat Will Put You Ahead
Experience working within a manufacturing logistics environmentKnowledge and experience with reliability systems, work processes, implementation, and continuous improvementsKnowledge of an inventory or logistical management system
