Part-Time Specialist, Upward Bound

This is a part-time, grant-funded position that reports to the Manager of Upward Bound and is located on the JWCC Campus in Quincy, Illinois. This position is not benefit eligible.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office Assistant is responsible for providing office support to the Upward Bound grant program. This program assists students in preparing for college.
Duties include:
Enter student data into a database.Maintain student files.Create & mail postcards, letters, paperwork and newsletters.Record & distribute staff meeting minutes.Make copies and packets of forms and handouts.Scan documents.Assist in planning and chaperoning trips & events.Other duties as assigned.
Work hours are flexible between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am-12:00pm on Friday, with occasional Saturdays & evenings; work hours are no more than 28 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. Prefer applicants to be proficient working within Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Publisher.
