We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced environment, where the primary focus is to provide the highest quality patient care. The Radiology Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, such as X-rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT) scans. The candidate must have a deep understanding of human anatomy, radiological procedures, and safety protocols. This position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in the medical imaging field.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, following protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Position patients and equipment correctly to capture the right area and depth.
- Evaluate images to ensure clarity and accuracy, recognizing any anomalies and documenting them for further investigation by a physician.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including the patient’s history and the specifics of each imaging procedure conducted.
- Adhere to all departmental protocols, procedures, and safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment and radiation safety measures.
- Collaborate with the radiology team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in radiologic technology.
Qualifications:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- A valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
- Proficiency in operating various radiologic equipment and performing different imaging procedures.
- Excellent understanding of radiologic safety and precautionary measures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage stress effectively.
- Excellent physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients in moving.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and service.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.
