We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Permanent IVF-Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals and contribute to transforming people's lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our team of medical professionals in providing top-tier care and support to our patients undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments. This role requires a deep commitment to patient care, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist medical staff in the preparation and execution of IVF procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Conduct patient intake, including recording medical history and vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tasks, such as preparing specimens for analysis.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, recording observations and reporting any unusual occurrences to the medical team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes, test results, and follow-up care instructions.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families during this emotionally charged time.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in IVF and reproductive health.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a fertility clinic or OB/GYN setting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Proficient in phlebotomy and other clinical skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical procedures to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Deep commitment to patient care and a passion for helping people start families.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education in the field of reproductive health.
